MeterBoard/16A is a module for the MeterBoard system that drives 16 analog meters.
Status
- 2015-07: Integrated into the first version of the HackLab Power Display and working fine. Calling this complete!
- 2015-03-12: Built, initially tests fine! Need to get CPUE done for full testing.
- 2014-12-16: 3 boards and 1 set of parts are here.
- 2014-11-10: Checklisted/finished board, CAMed, sent off to OSH Park for manufacturing.
- 2014-11-09: Completed BOM and schematic, and completed board layout except for the checklist. Will checklist/CAM it tomorrow.
- 2014-11-08: Started putting together initial design.
Specs
- SPI interface to MeterBoard system.
- 16 buffered analog outputs that can source 50mA at 2.5v each (configurable per-channel levels via resistors)
- 8-bit outputs resolution, so at 50mV full-scale each step is 190uV
- ~1/3 degree steps on a 90 degree regular meter
- ~1 degree steps on a 240 degree long-scale meter
- 8-bit outputs resolution, so at 50mV full-scale each step is 190uV
